
Irving Cassidy, Pharm.D., is Vice President of Medical Affairs. With over 25 years of leadership in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, he brings experience ranging from biotech startups to global enterprises. Most recently, he was the global lead for Medical Affairs strategies in Immunology at Merck. Prior to that, he directed global Medical Affairs in Immunology at Prometheus Biosciences. Other experience includes leading Medical Affairs teams at Janssen, Novartis, Otsuka, Celgene, and Bristol Myers Squibb. At Novartis he established the global Scientific Communications function and co-led the U.S. Medical Affairs alliance with Procter & Gamble, and at Novartis, Otsuka, and Celgene he supported launches for several first in class molecules. Throughout his career, Dr. Cassidy has successfully supported the development of new treatments in dynamic and challenging areas with over a dozen new therapies receiving regulatory approval. Prior to industry, he held faculty positions at the University of Houston and University of Texas Colleges of Pharmacy and worked in Solid Organ Transplant at Baylor University Medical Center. He received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Houston and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.
